STEM Education
Education Solid State Storage Technology and Hsinchu City's Zhuxin Life Education Association jointly organized the Children's Brain Power Summer Camp to help children from disadvantaged families understand their brain characteristics and learn how to leverage they potentional through brain science.
By using the appropriate learning method, they hope to be more confident in learning!
The course uses creative teaching aids, such as integrated cards, that lets children process the information at hand in a timely manner and learn to communicate with others to obtain the most appropriate solutions. It is also designed to guide children to think how their behavior relates to their brain functions.
Community Building
SSSTC initiated a community building activitiy in Miaoli in an effort to help maintain the leopard cat habitat. To preserve and protect the cats, fences needed to be strengthened to keep them from invading a chicken farm nearby.
The chicken coops were attracting wild animals like leopard cats and wild dogs looking for a quick meal. Chicken farmers are resorting to poison to bait and kill these predators but risking to kill leopard cats by mistake.

Charity
The Saint Joseph Social Welfare Foundation serves nearly 140 students aged 18 to 64 with physical and mental disabilities in the Hsinchu area, employing educators, social workers, nurses, dietitians, physical therapists, and occupational therapists to provide services such as physical rehabilitation, home living support, homework support, and leisure activities for these students.
The foundation not only provides basic care, but also interesting multi-faceted learning activities.
In addition, they also support and provide for the nutritional needs of the disabled, raising funds to improve lunch and catering services and reduce the burden of medical care for family members.
Solid State Storage Technology supported the Nutritious Lunch Sponsorship Program and Grassland Concert and Art Creation Joint Exhibition (Multiple Support Services) Fund raising Program.
Art
Art Theatre De La Sardine was established in March 2005. In 2014, we advocated and launched the Dr. Rednose project and started the professional clown doctor service in Taiwan in 2015.
The project was officially registered as an association in 2017 under the name Dr. Rednose Association. Dr. Rednose Association of Taiwan is the first medical clown organization in the country. Their goal is to interact with patients through performances such as music and games.
Each Rednose doctor has received more than six months of professional training, which includes theoretical and practical training courses in medical theory, psychological health education, hospital practice and assessment. SSSTC sponsors this production and a portion of the proceeds are donated to the Dr. Rednose Association.
The event was held on Saturday afternoon and the stage play allowed plenty of opportunities for patients to interact with the performers. The children were amused and entertained a lot. It is definitely suitable for the whole family to watch together.
