SSSTC champions environmental sustainability by supporting organic rice farming

Committed to the principles of environmental sustainability, SSSTC supports local agriculture. We heavily endorse two key areas: environment preservation and education. Upholding good farming practices, we advocate for natural farming in Hsinchu Ruanqiao district, nourished by the pure waters of the Baoshan Reservoir.

This is an opportunity for the land to be in harmony with all beings, abiding by the laws of nature, maintaining soil vitality with organic fertilizers, and abstaining from all chemical fertilizers and pesticides to achieve ecological balance.

SSSTC supports environmental sustainability through organic farming.

We support local food production to reduce the carbon footprint generated during transportation and care about the balance between agriculture and ecology. We participate in the ""Building our Home - Flip in the Hand"" project, which means to flip from the heart. Unlike other social welfare organizations that often receive help from the external sources, a group of physically-disabled individuals from the Shih Guang Institution are trained to farm and cultivate the potentional of mother earth as the best doctor.

They learn to grow vegetables and interact with customers all on their own. The work is transformed into a valuable activity, so that children with disabilities can be treated with the dignity they deserve. No longer do they simply accept the help of others with their palms up, they are trained to help those who need it more than they do.
