CONSERVATION OF LEOPARD CAT

Completed a new community building project - Leopards Conservation Campaign on July 29, 2022

Timmy Yang, Assistant Manager, Quality Assurance Department of SSSTC personally led SSSTC team of volunteers to Miaoli for the ESG community building project in an effort to help maintain the leopard cat habitat.

To preserve and protect the cats, fences needed to be strengthened to keep them from invading a chicken farm nearby. The chicken coops were attracting wild animals like leopards and wild dogs looking for a quick meal. Chicken farmers are resorting to poison to bait and kill these predators but risking to kill leopard cat by mistake.

Thanks to every one of our partners. We worked together from weeding, piling, fencing and wire tying to complete the first Leopard Cat Conservation activity efficiently.
